Painted Lady
Ok, not quite.
For one, the above actual photo of a Painted Lady. For two, reason for said. This being the shift in the weather from rather warm and sunny to overcast and windy. If you can find the sheltered spots they lurk in, you have a better chance of shooting butterflies.
Not much else, of course...
Hiding in the deepest bushes they can find
While interesting birds having been popping up at other localities [with, it must be noted, more space and more viewable sheltered bits..] the same cannot be said of the Nose, where a Whinchat and a probable Reed Warbler have been the best migrants we've drummed up.
Well, we've never pretended to be Fraggle Rock, now have we?
Non-birds, well, at least I can sometimes get photos;
Itsa bee,
possibly Welted Mason Bee
Itsa hoverfly,
Eristalis arbustorum?
Both sitting on Common Fleabane.
Coming up...
Some actual slight variety, including me not at the Nose...
[Shock! Horror! What madness is this?!?]
Be Seeing You...
