Playing With Thrushes

A combination of not working Friday afternoon and some actual sunshine [albeit with a cold NW wind] was the excuse to zip up on t'Moor.

Time was a factor, so I contented myself with Emsworthy, which would be nice and quiet on a cold Friday, right?

Right?

Ha ha de BLEEP ing ha....

But there was a little scenery, at least;

Oh noes, he's getting
arty again.....

Mosst scenic
[Oh dear.]

Eventually all the assorted thrush-flushers arointed themselves, and after less than an hour sat quietly, some of said thrushes came back.

This number, though less than 20, did include a couple of Ring Ouzels.

Also,

The wait was enlivened by invisible Golden Plover - heard repeatedly but never seen - and the slow stress-draining of, if not solitude, then at least a little peace. A dash-by Merlin as I worked my way down the site would have been the highlight, but any kind of posing Ouzel [even a 1cy that needed oh so much patience to stalk*] I think comes out on top.

If it wasn't for the Horror of newton scabrous' Friday Rush Hour Of Woe, it would have been quite a pleasant afternoon..

Be Seeing You...
