Bugs!

I just can't stop myself...

Anyways, with all the sunshine and general wamrth going around, arthropods have been showing up. I - naturally - have been unable to avoid trying to photo them and sometimes even succeeded.

Now we have a small quantity of gloating;

Dark-bordered Bee-fly!!

Wooooooooooo!

One stopped eventually and for long enough for me to zap it.. :D
[Thanks to Steve the Adder for spotting it!]

Not just bugs, though, as I owe some updates [more will follow. Honest. At some point...]. Thus, some news from Thursday;

A little mistyfog gave hope

But it was pretty quiet with again a dearth of migrants in the bushes.
That being said, what was moving included a Swallow [just one] in/off and a CENSORED which has to be reported thus as it was a female and a male has been seen by others in the same area [I'm dreaming, but you never know..] and also a couple of these;

Sarnie!!
[You can see it, yes you can!]

Whimbrel
[you can see the characteristic bill shape]

I do have more news including another yay and more drat, but that must wait.

So, instead let us see some insects...

P. barbutellus?

Action shot!

::straw sound effect::

White-tailed Bumblebee

Red-tailed Bumblebee

Speckled Wood

Large White

Bee

Bee mimic Hoverfly spp.

And another

Mining Bee
[with lots of pollen!]

Ok, that'll do for now.

More at some point!
[Yikes]

Be Seeing You...
