After much swanning about all over the place, it was very much focus on the Patch over the weekend.
Half-decent-sized patrol over Sunday started in mist and drizzle and ended in blazing sunshine, Saturday saw more proper rain and the odd thunderbolt leading to a low but not too low overcast.
Heads up?
You've got to look up.
Especially when the gulls go off like they've just been connected to the mains and been given the bill...
Red Kite!
Less zoom, more gull!
A kettle of more than a dozen outraged Herring Gulls made life less than rosey for this poor wanderer...
The other Red things
in the sky...
Now, who photobombed who?
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwww!!!!!
[Ahem]
Aircraft Recognition Test
Spitfire!
"I think there's something
I'm supposed to do..."
Juvenile Blackbird. :D
Right.
Two hours staring at the sea in the morning, aided and abetted by the Teacher, gave 14 Manxies north [in one group..], 2 Sarnies south, 19 Gannets south and 1 north, 3 Kittiwakes loitering, and 11 Fulmars north [though only 2 offshore enough to be definite passage birds]. Seeing as we had a [N]NE wind and 1km visibility through mizzle, it was a bit of a let down.
A singing Reed Warbler about the High Meadow was a bit better, but still only 1 [ONE?!?] Whitethroat on territory...
New out;
Iris
:)
Time will continue to be rewound.
Be Seeing You...
