Looking For Butterflies

And not even seeing one. Again. But hey, an attack about a sunny [if rather windy] Patch did yield a few things worthy of a shot, so what the what. We are again back in time, as a week of even more insane than usual work has made blogging out of the question. The there were the weekend's commitments.
What can you do, eh?

Get out when you can;

Small Scabious
[five not four petals, there]

Pyramidal Orchid

Cow Parsley
[with free bumblebee]

Kidney Vetch

Broomrape

Meadow Cranesbill

Musk Thistle
[with free Bumblebees]

Yeah, you're wondering where the butterflies are? Not One.

Sun, oh yes, but also wind. And there had been showers.

Bumblebee

Meadow Vetchling

Not sure,
looks a bit like a Bellflower

Common Birdsfoot Trefoil

And again, showing colour variation

So, a variety of pretty flowers, but no pretty butterflies.

Coming up, when I finally ketchup again [oh dear, and he was doing so well for all of five minutes, too], we shall have more gubbins from the Patch, including those cute juveniles unlucky enough to stray into shot. Also one just plain unlucky one [ :( ]. There will be yet another pretty flowers from the Patch post, and actual gettings up to. These include me going out and seeing nice birds but not getting photos [so really going for usual service, then], an attempt at the worst kind of bird photos, and me pulling over, grabbing the camera, and actually getting a shot. Or three.

[Calm yourselves]

Anyways. All these horrors wonders are to come.

Soon.

[[For a given definition of 'soon'....]]

Be Seeing You...
