Keeping At It

Post delayed due to technical problems [real ones, not 'I didn't write it' ones]

Another post-nights Friday, another straight down the Nose [no, breakfast can wait*].

Again the weather misbehaves, with blazing sunshine first thing, then cloud and wind to keep what might be there down. Ho hum mutter mutter.

I took yet more pictures for the upcoming 'pretty flowers of my Patch' post, and counted more singing Blackcaps than Chiffchaffs.

Things were not quite hopeless, though.

Behold, something I do not talk about due to some people being unworthy of oxygen;

Angel of Death
[if you're a Vole]

Oh what a joy for the eyes..

Coming overhead

'Close' views

Only needs to flap one wing

Or even none

"Next performance is at ten"

Less spectacular;

Itsa Chiff

Itsa Blackcap

And now we have something actually vaguely not-boring, shown through the medium of awful pictures! Again! Amazingly, I got more than one hit on this, which I'm still in shock about, though no really good angles, because come on, definite sign of the apocalypse.

Picture One

It's a bit two-tone; olivey brown on top and very white [in a an off-white way] underneath.

Picture Two.

No cap, nice white throat [no, it isn't an expletive-deleted Robin]

Picture Three.

Very plain, but that includes the neck side.

Name that bird, people!

C'mon, it's not hard. The obvious species.

All together; "If it's utterly drab and uninteresting-looking, it must be a Garden Warbler!"

First one on film! Woo!

Ahem.

Small bumblebee on that blue stuff
whose name I never remember

That's a non-native garden spp., so I'm not putting it in the Patch Flowers Post, which is coming. Honest. I even have cranesbill comparison photos. [Woo]

Be Seeing You...
